Hi, I am 53 years young, I love to surf. I love those moments when riding a wave when everything goes silent, time stops, there is nothing more than the now....and even though the wave is crashing, and explodling around you....you are in the right spot at the moment and everything is congruent in the universe... I own a house in Brasil on the Litoral Norte(north coast) of São Paulo State, Itamambuca Beach to be exact, the home of perfect waves. My house is about 180 steps/paces to the beach...You walk through a greenbelt and pop out on the beach. I also own a house in Medford, Oregon. I split my time between these houses trying to live as much of an Endless Summer as possible. I previously lived 25 years at Lake Tahoe, and I have had enough snow for this life. Now all I want is summer and waves. I spend my time as a Carpenter, Gardener, and International Maintenance Man, keeping the house in Brasil in top shape for summertime rentals (December-April), and remodeling the house I bought in Medford, Oregon which is at the entrance to the Southern Oregon wine country. The house in Brasil is my Dream house and eventually it will be my "retirement", being an innkeeper for part of the year, so I can stay in the warm. The house in Medford, is a carpenter's dream, all hand built with heritage lumber, and just needs to be updated, and loved,.... and it also has 2 acres of irrigated land to put to use. And Southern Oregon is beautiful for growing anything. So what am I looking for? I am looking for a partner for this adventure, of living and running a surfers paradise in Brasil for part of the year, and then returning to the Rogue Valley and living the dream planting Organic gardens and enjoying the sun..... I was trained as a professional cook in Vancouver, BC, Canada, when I graduated High School. A 3 year apprenticeship program complete with beatings, and school. I worked for 20+ years in kitchens from Canada, to California, to Ilha Grande, Brasil, to Paris, France.....I can cook. I was also a professional brewer in Portland, Or. In Tahoe, I mainly worked in the Olympic Bike Shop, and the Ski Shop in the winter. Carpentry came late in the game, when I realized that I couldn't afford to hire anyone to work on the house I bought in Tahoe City, CA in 1997..... About 4 years ago, I had a heart surgery, a robotic surgery to fix a failing Mitral Valve...(prolapse, they call it).... anyway, this changed my outlook about life and what I wanted to be doing when my last breath comes along..... and well it wasn't crawling under someone else's house.... so I decided to live my dream and actually go live in my house in Brasil for the maximum amount I could, and I learned to surf.... SUP.... catch waves, and recovered my health and strength back.... and it helped me realize just how delicate the dance, the balance of life can be... is, actually.... So I know I am asking a lot of somebody..... I mean,.. yeah, right..... live in Oregon 6-7 months a year tending to the organic garden,(and plenty of activities) and then go to Brasil for 5-6 months and run a low key B and B for surfers, surf and paddle everyday..., put on a few special dinners.... take people on adventure tours of the Itamambuca area.....
